General Terms

  • Our hourly rates start from the time our removalists get to your place and confirm the moving details with you until the job is completed.
  • We do not charge any depot-to-depot rates if the move is within Melbourne or its neighboring suburbs. Please check with our representatives for more details.
  • If additional time is taken by the customer to pay for the move, twice the hourly rates will be imposed on this additional time.
  • Every move will be charged for a minimum of 2 hours from the time the job starts until the time the final payment is made, except for jobs booked at fixed prices.
  • After the first two hours, additional time will be clocked in 30-minute increments.

Payment Terms

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Cash for our services. We also accept e-transfers. Please get the transfer details from our representatives to transfer cash to our account.
  • There are no hidden costs. However, if there are obstacles (e.g., more than one flight of stairs) that were not communicated to us before the move, additional charges will apply.
  • We may request the customer to pay for the move before unloading the goods if the customer fails to cooperate with our removalists.
  • All jobs in progress or after 5 PM are prepaid only.
  • In case of non-payments, we reserve the right to seize some of your goods.
  • Storage charges will apply if goods are seized due to non-payment or dispute.
  • Late payments will incur an additional charge of $25 for each day after the move is completed.
  • Debt collection procedures will be followed in case of non-payments. The customer will be responsible for any charges from the debt collection agency.
  • If your overdue account is referred to a collection agency or law firm, you will be liable for all associated costs.

Parking Conditions

  • Parking facilities must be arranged by the customer prior to our arrival. Any parking charges must be paid by the customer.
  • Parking infringements issued while following the customer’s instructions must be paid in cash by the customer at job completion.
  • If the customer requests the use of toll roads, toll fees must be paid by the customer.

Safety Terms

  • We assume that the goods you plan to move are yours or that you are authorized to move them.
  • You or your representative must be present to verify the condition of the items being moved.
  • We reserve the right to refuse to move dangerous items, such as firearms or explosives, or infested goods.
  • Notify our removalists if there are any brittle, fragile, or expensive items to be moved.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure all items are picked up and dropped off.
  • Signing the job completion sheet indicates that the job was done to your satisfaction.
  • If the environment is unsafe, our removalists reserve the right to decline the job.

Compensation Conditions

  • We are only liable for damage claims reported on the job completion sheet.
  • We are not liable for damages caused by a customer or third party helping with the move, other than Axe Removals associates or subcontractors.
  • Claims for brittle or breakable items will not be entertained.

Insurance Terms

  • We carry Public Liability Insurance for all our removal services. This covers damage to buildings caused by our movers' negligence.
  • For damage claims up to $350, we reserve the right to repair or compensate based on assessed value. Insurance claims will not apply to these cases.
  • If an insurance claim exceeds $350, the customer must pay a $350 excess fee for the claim to be processed.
  • The insurance claim will not be processed until the excess fee is paid.

Cancellation Policy

  • Changes made to the booking 48 hours before the move are free of charge.
  • Cancelling a booked job within 7 days of the scheduled move date will result in a non-refundable deposit.
  • If a job is cancelled 2 hours before the scheduled time, a minimum of 2 hours' service rate will be charged.
  • By using our services, you agree to our terms and conditions. The laws of Victoria govern this agreement.
